Why Puglia ?

I stumbled across social media images while researching new travel destinations, and I was suddenly swept away by visuals of the most charming whitewashed towns, turquoise coastlines, and quaint hilltop villages surrounded by endless olive groves. It honestly took my breath away. I even felt butterflies as I pictured John and I wandering through those streets.

This picturesque destination instantly took me back to my twenties, when I spent a month traveling through Greece with my sister and a friend.

But this wasn’t Greece. What I was seeing were magical, sun-drenched towns tucked away in the heel of Italy’s boot. Until now, this region of Italy had not been on my radar. I was hooked and we made the trip across the pond.

We spent 8 glorious days in Puglia as part of a 3 week getaway to Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.

How We Decided on Puglia

These picturesque destinations instantly took me back to my twenties, when I spent a month traveling through Greece with my sister and a friend.

This relatively undiscovered region is called Apulia—more commonly known as Puglia.
